Even now, the field of motion graphics is relatively new, but when I attended the School of Motion Bootcamp, it was even more pioneering. Although it was a number of years ago now, I still remember the courses in detail, and as an alumnus, I think I’m well-placed to review them and point out ways for others who are keen to attend to maximise their experience of the courses.
Although the online courses are long and there’s a lot to keep on top of, they really give you the confidence you need to launch a successful motion design career. You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the processes involved in creating motion graphics, and you’ll certainly get value for money. But perhaps the best thing about the School of Motion is its community feel.
You’ll be in contact with people all over the world who are doing the same course as you, and that doesn’t just give you the opportunity to meet new people, but also to network – something that will prove beneficial in your future career.
My time at the School of Motion design and animation bootcamps turned out to be not only extremely beneficial for my practice but also highly inspirational. In fact, it was my experience at the School of Motion that led me to create the CopyCat website.

An alumni’s honest review of the School of Motion.

Anyone thinking about attending the School of Motion needs to know how to make the most of the experience and get as much out of it as possible. As an alumnus, I’m giving this honest review to help others who are following a similar path to me.

Every motion design artist should have a sketchbook handy to brainstorm or sketch ideas before jumping onto the computer :)
